Video Capture Board

Also known as frame grabbers or digitizer boards, video capture boards are circuit boards that scan an image, digitize it, and store that digital representation in a software system. That frame is kept in a frame buffer within one frame’s time, which turns a camera feed into a series of images that can be played as a video. Video capture boards are used within office security as part of a closed-circuit television (CCTV) system, which allow you to capture and record live feeds from a collection of security cameras around your space. These tiny, physical circuit boards are a key mediator in the process of recording security footage, which, along with card-controlled access, is an increasingly important aspect of modern office security solutions. Without a video capture board, CCTV feeds would not be possible, making their installation useless. By capturing video feeds, they can make your space much more secure than it might be otherwise.
