Delay Arm

Delay arm, like the name suggests, is simply the process of arming a space with a delay. The result is that anyone who arms your access control system has time to leave the area before the alarm arms itself, avoiding any mix-ups and preventing them from triggering the alarm by accident. This feature is deceptively important, especially when you would rather avoid a false alarm being sent out to the entire operation team.

In larger rooms, like conference rooms and event spaces, people need a moment to allow them to leave — it’s not immediate, like in some other areas. Without delaying the alarm, an alert might go out, causing a commotion that simply does not need to happen. Your team will appreciate the convenience of the delay arm action, which quickly and effectively cuts down the frequency of these mistakes. It’s a great way to make sure your access system is as accurate as possible.
