Disposable Badge

A disposable badge is a type of temporary badge, typically printed on paper, that is issued to an individual for a short period of time. Most facilities have some visitor traffic coming through the front doors. Your access system works well for employees with assigned badges, but visitors have no way of getting through certain barriers. That’s why you use disposable badges. If you keep them stocked at your front desk, you can quickly assign and encode them for anyone visiting for an hour, a day, or even a week.

They work the same as normal badges, but they’re cheaper to stock and require less encoded data than a full employee access badge. Even better, visitors don’t need to come back to the front to return their badges, like they would at a hotel. They can simply forget about them after they leave. At the end of the visit, simply revoke any badge access from your access control system.
