How the VERVE Pulse + Kisi integration works

The VERVE Pulse and Kisi integration connects gym membership management with physical access control, helping fitness businesses manage entry without manual updates. When a member joins, purchases a pass, changes plans, or cancels their membership, VERVE Pulse automatically updates their Kisi access permissions based on the membership plans assigned to each door.

Members can enter using a Kisi fob or card, or tap their compatible smartphone against a Kisi reader using the Pulse Member app. Their access permissions remain consistent across supported entry methods, providing a convenient experience for members and staff.

Gym operators can also monitor live door status, remotely unlock doors, and review entry activity directly in VERVE Pulse. Optional payment-based access restrictions help businesses manage overdue memberships, while automatic synchronization keeps membership and access records aligned.

Requirements

To use the VERVE Pulse and Kisi integration, you'll need:

  • An active VERVE Pulse subscription with the Access Control add-on.
  • An active Kisi subscription, with Kisi controllers and readers installed and configured for the relevant doors.
  • At least one Kisi access group configured for members.
  • A Kisi API key, generated in your Kisi account and connected through the Door Access settings in VERVE Pulse.
  • For mobile entry, the Pulse Member app (version 1.5.0 or later) and a compatible iPhone with Bluetooth or Android device with NFC.
  • For payment-based access restrictions, member billing managed through VERVE Pulse using Stripe.
